WATCH: The TED Talk That Inspired Two Standing Ovations

It's no secret that TED talks are generally phenomenal. So what made Sarah Kay's exceptional enough to inspire two standing ovations and to make my mom cry when I made her watch it? Well, it's kind of hard to express. And that's the point.

The first ovation comes in response to her opening, from the beginning of the video to 3:37. It is stunning. The second comes after the point she makes starting at 14:35. If you don't have time for the entire talk, don't miss the beginning and end.
