The Science Experiment That Scientists Can't Explain
OK, here's the Double Slit Experiment as far as I can understand it: 1) Scientists are firing one photon of light at a time through one of two slits. 2) The photons are making an interference pattern on the detector instead of two lines. Hmm. That's weird. If we're firing them one at a time, shouldn't they ... never mind. OK. 3) When you use a detector to measure which slit the photon is going through, the two lines show up. 4) But ... didn't they just have ... what did we ... no one changed the... 5) By measuring something, you can change reality? 6) I'm going to get off the computer for a while.I still love science. I'm just going to need a minute.
