An Actor's Profound Superhero Story Will Have You Saying Don't Judge A Comic Book By Its Color
Before the lead role of Peter Parker was cast in 2012's "The Amazing Spider-Man," there were a few young actors in the running to don that iconic spandex suit. Some of the names thrown around included Daniel Radcliffe, Jamie Bell, Andrew Garfield (the eventual winner), and — in a twist — Donald Glover, a black actor. Some fans loved the idea (me included) and campaigned across the Internet for Hollywood to do something new. Unfortunately it didn't happen — or fortunately if you talk to some of the more ... racist ... people Glover has received messages from. Here Glover talks about one message that really got him (and me) fuming.
