Why Every Woman Should Have A Picture Of Joe Biden On Her Dresser
For the first time since 1994, Congress failed to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act because certain members of Congress were concerned that the most recently proposed version of the bill offered too much explicit protection to certain communities, namely women of color, immigrants, tribal women, and lesbian/trans women. The original 1994 bill was drafted by Joe "America's Happiest Warrior" Biden, who gave a powerful speech calling for its authorization last year that was so good I could barely pick just one quote to pull from it. It's not too late to get VAWA reauthorized for 2013. Click the links below the image to find out what you can do to help.
