He Didn't Do The Ice Bucket Challenge, But He Did Something I Could Never Do

So, my activism is pretty lazy, I hafta admit. I mostly sit in front of this computer and spew stuff I believe in. This guy, Nick Triolo, is a teensy bit more energetic than I am. OK, he's a badass. He was pissed about the development of an open-pit mine in a beautiful area of Mexico, so he did something about it. Something I could never do. He ran. Seventy miles in one day, to be exact.He got lots of attention for the cause and even made this film about it to spread the word. Doesn't it make you wonder what you could do for the causes you're passionate about?

When it came time for Islesboro Central School's Class of 2021 to pick the destination for their senior class trip, the students began eyeing a trip to Greece or maybe even South Korea. But in the end, they decided to donate $5,000 they'd raised for the trip to help out their community members struggling in the wake of the pandemic instead.
