Over 30 years ago, I was the child of a single mother household and also a food stamp recipient. Cutting the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) would force kids just like I was to go hungry. And the elderly and our veterans.

Isn’t it about time that we stop looking to cut funds from those who are already hurting and tackle the budgetary hypocrisy Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) mentions in her statement?
