Children with it have their fingers slowly fused together into mitten shapes. Skin that is cut never heals. Families can spend as much as $14,000 a month on bandaging alone. Athletic and physical activities are out of the question. They are prone to skin cancer. And one of them happens to be friends with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder. So he started a foundation you should learn about. They're doing research that could impact 5,000 rare genetic disorders affecting 10% of the globe's population.
