Project Unbreakable was the first thing I ever shared on Upworthy, and ever since then I've never been able to forget the project's ability to shed light on sexual abuse in such a simplistic (but powerful) way. But then I saw the photos they shared of men – not women – holding up paper with the words said by the person who sexually assaulted them, and it was quite startling. These are the faces you may not picture when you hear about cases of sexual assault. These men are truly admirable for taking part in this project. Below are eight of those images that stuck with me.
