Gun Advocate Claims Modern Assault Rifles Are Just Fancy Colonial-Era Muskets
The Second Amendment is often referred to as the right to bear arms, but when it was adopted in 1791, firearms looked a lot different. The single-shot muskets that require about a minute between every shot strike me as being very different from the semiautomatic weapons of today. Bryan Fischer's claim that modern mass-killing machines are EXACTLY the kind of weapons the Founding Fathers had in mind when adopting this amendment seems, to put it politely, very unlikely.
