Wow, a really interesting (and telling) look at where our attention went this year.

Watching this makes me remember how many important conversations were put in motion in 2013 — about the NSA spying, the Trayvon Martin case, the government shutdown, cultural misappropriation, Syria — and my hope for 2014 is that as we move forward, so do they.

(But it’s cool with me if twerking and #blurredlines stay in 2013, am I right?)
