Driving a car, when you think about it, is kind of terrifying. You're in a giant hunk of metal just barreling down the road with other giant hunks of metal going in all different directions, and you can't get distracted even for a second (by, say, the buzz-buzzzz of your phone) or you might die. Or kill someone. NO PRESSURE, right!? Riiiiiight.

So what if we just *poof* took humans out of the driving equation altogether?

Now I know many of us have already heard a lot of talk about these driverless cars. But I for one had never seen all this amazing footage or heard from one of the lead researchers. Pretty cool, right? Here's hoping this technology saves the lives it was created to save.

This expertise has made her an advocate for strategies that run counter to conventional parenting wisdom and have stirred up a bit of controversy.

Here are five TikTok videos where Sommer shares some of her evidence-based parenting strategies.
