They Grew Their Own Food For 17 Years. Now They Can't 'Cause The City Thinks Veggie Plants Are Ugly.

Growing food on your own property sounds like a no-brainer civil right, right? Wrong.

About:

Hermine Ricketts and Tom Carroll, the couple featured in this video, joined forces with the Institute for Justice to take on their city and get their rights back. This is a part of the institute's Food Freedom Initiative, a campaign for the rights of Americans to produce and consume food grown on their own property (yes, even front yards). (Oh, and shout-out to Nick Sibilla, who tweeted this story my way. Thanks!)

Hi there, internet friend. We need to talk. You're using a painfully old web browser, and frankly, it's getting a little weird. It's not safe, and we want the best for you. We think it's time to upgrade.

Download Google Chrome, and try it for a week. Don't think about it, just do it. You'll thank us later.
