Male: I've been in situations where I've been cuddling with people, and that felt really great, and then they'll start kissing me, and that's okay, and a little bit interesting, but not anything I'm crazy about. And then, kind of, anything more sexual than that just stops making sense to my body.
Female: There's no one who would turn me on that way, as far as I can tell. I'm almost 32 years old, and I think it would have happened by now.
Female: I haven't had sex since, you know, '87 or '88. And I haven't missed it at all.
Female: It may seem like sex is everywhere these days, but it's not on the mind of David Jay. He says he has absolutely no sexual desire whatsoever. He's here to tell us about living as an asexual and why there are a lot more people like him than you think.
Male: So you don't think about sex?
Male: Um, not, not... I don't desire sex.
Female: I don't have a fear of intimacy. I have sort of a genuine lack of interest... A genuine lack of interest. Which is not good news for my boyfriend of 10 years, but, you know, we'll have to talk about it.
Female: Gosh, do I want to be part of the queer movement? Well, I don't know if I'm really welcome there.
Females: We love you! But not that way!
Male: And, then you have the asexuals marching for the right to not do anything.
Male: We need to organize, well, partially because it's not getting talked about. Because a lot of...
Female: If you're not having sex, what's there to talk about?
Female: It's the assumption that we are all basically sexual. And, asexuals are challenging that, and I think that sexuals are having a hard time understanding that that is even available to be challenged, but it is.
Male: Why don't you just try it once, and then you'll know for certain whether you like it or not?
Male: Did you have to try sex to realize that it was something that you wanted to do? Do most 15-year-old boys have to try sex to realize that?
Male: You know, it wasn't a hard sell in my case. There may be small errors in this transcript.
