Want To Help Us Shut Down Some Of The Biggest Bigots On Facebook?
You might remember the organization known as One Million Moms for their charming boycott of JC Penney, which demanded that JC Penney find a replacement for talk show host and current spokesperson Ellen DeGeneres because she is a lesbian (spoiler alert: JC Penney refused). What you might not know is that One Million Moms is an arm of the American Family Association, which is classified as an anti-gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Luckily, the good people of the Internet were in no mood for the AFA's hateful antics when the group tried to stir a similar controversy over JC Penney's recent Father's Day ad featuring two gay dads. Now, I'm not saying everyone should go to the One Million Moms Facebook page and join the fun, but... actually, that's exactly what I'm saying.UPDATE: It looks like all the unwelcome attention has led One Million Moms to temporarily deactivate their facebook page. We'll let you know when the attack is back on, but in the meantime you should cruise on over to the new One Million Moms page, which is 100% supportive of LGBT rights. Let's get the new page more likes than the original!
