It’s hard to believe that it’s been less than 50 years since interracial marriage was legalized in most U.S. states. And yet, it’s only been that long since people could literally be arrested for marrying outside of their race. Interracial marriages are so commonplace today, you probably don’t even notice them. That makes me hopeful our country will feel the same way about same-sex marriage really soon, too.
