Beautiful nature! Delicious salmon! And some assholes that want to take it all away.
How could someone want to destroy that?

Chuitna River, Alaska
Just across the inlet from Anchorage, Alaska, lies the Chuitna River. 25 miles of pristine river in the wilderness with access roads that are few and far between.
It's beautiful, it's peaceful, and it's a great place to go fishing. In fact, the river is home to five species of wild salmon that have a huge role in the local culture, economy, and ecosystem.
But of course, salmon aren't the only thing that's plentiful in the area around the Chuitna. The region has a ton of coal. Actually, not just one ton, but up to a billion tons of coal.
Naturally, someone wants to mine it.
