Parenting can be as hard as it is fulfilling.

Having kids means you’re diving into a world full of love. But you’ll also rarely know exactly what’s ahead.

In honor of embracing the madness, here’s a collection of the sometimes sweet, sometimes silly, but always very real moments that make up the day-to-day life of parents:

1. Love in the aftermath of birth.

2. It can get messy.

3. And downright dirty.

4. You have to give it all you've got.

5. That awkward moment when babies attack.

6. Multitasking is a way of life.

11. Naps can happen anytime, anywhere.

12. Discipline can require creativity.

13. Their fashion choices are questionable.

Watching a toddler try to dress herself without jumping in to help is prolly one of the hardest things I've ever had to do...

14. It may feel like they're growing up too fast.

15. But those tender moments prove there's no bond like this one.

Jerry Seinfeld once said, “A 2-year-old is kind of like having a blender, but you don't have a top for it.”

These photos prove that he was 100% right. There’s no way to truly prepare for what it takes to be a parent, but the parent-child bond is unlike any other. Here’s to you, parents!
