The Incredible Way This Beaten Woman Is Fighting Back

This isn’t the first anti-domestic-abuse ad to be released in Saudi Arabia, but it is the boldest. In a country where women have to be accompanied by a male guardian, escaping from domestic violence is almost impossible. The campaign gives women and children a way to discretely report abuse.  Of course, in Saudi Arabia the ad is in Arabic, but this picture is so explicit it barely needs translation.

This same "oppressed majority" logic is behind the new Straight Pride movement which made headlines in August after its march through the streets of Boston.
