6 superhero life lessons you don’t need a cape to love

Not everyone’s built for crime-fighting and the pursuit of justice, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn a thing or two.

Look, it’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a … life coach?

Never in my life did I think I’d be taking advice from anyone in a latex body suit, but it turns out these heroes have it all figured out.

It’s comforting to remember everyone needs a little encouragement sometimes, even the people we look up to.

This entire series hit me right in the feels. Here’s a run down of my inner monologue as I scrolled through these: “True. … You’re tellin’ me. … Preach! … OK, did someone write these specifically for me?”

Thing is, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who’s ever felt alone, underappreciated or frustrated with the world. Everyone’s had moments where they needed extra encouragement to keep kicking butt (figuratively and literally). That’s kind of the beauty of these super life lessons. You don’t need a cape to enjoy them.

So next time you’re vegging out and watching Spider-Man for the billionth time, don’t feel guilty for wasting time; you’re giving yourself a pep talk.
