“Which is less dignified: stealing tampons or not having one at all?”
That single question gets to the heart of homeless women’s monthly dilemma. What would happen to them if they were caught stealing tampons? It’s clear when you think about it this way that some women make decisions you may never in a million years consider making because living in abject poverty can foist some terrible choices on a person.
If you already make contributions to your local shelters or food banks, consider adding in some feminine products next time.
