Dementia is, without question, horrible. There’s no way around it. It robs us of the essence of who we are. Currently, there are over 5 million people in the U.S. who have Alzheimer’s, the most common form of the disease, and dementia racks up over $220 billion per year in family and friends’ unpaid caretaking. Those numbers are expected to triple by the year 2050. Worldwide, there are over 44 million with the disease, and a new case is diagnosed every 4 seconds.

This documentary will be the first of its kind to investigate the science that is happening in labs and clinics today to help beat dementia. Because changes in the brain begin decades before Alzheimer’s symptoms, the absolute best way to move the needle on this disease is through minimizing risk when it matters most.
