A hilarious fake commercial makes a strong case that you should go outside more.

If you’re looking to unwind, de-stress, or just generally acquire peace of mind, there’s nothing better than getting all up in it.

Most of us, unfortunately, only rarely get all up in it.

Maybe we have jobs. Or young kids. Or maybe we live in cities with lots of ramen places that are good enough to make us forget about how cool mountains are up close.

But, really, we should go outside more.

Going outside is good for us.

Nature is good for us.

It’s so good for us that one intrepid group of nature enthusiasts made a fake commercial that extols the benefits of the great outdoors in a spot-on parody of those annoying ads for anxietysleepweightlossboner drugs.

And it’s really, really funny.

Is this video ridiculous? Yes. But accurate? Also yes.

Some studies have found evidence that going outside actually can give your brain a boost, decrease stress, and possibly even boost your immune system.

That’s not bad for a free activity that you can take advantage of any time at all.

Of course, in order to take advantage of all this, we have to make sure nature sticks around.

Climate change has the potential to seriously crunk up the forests and oceans — which itself is just a small piece of the general, apocalyptic, all-around havoc it will likely wreak.

That’s why it’s important to support policies that cut carbon emissions and politicians who actually, in real life, want to make those changes.

Because, somewhere deep down, in our heart of hearts, we all secretly want to be this guy.

So let’s do it, people. Let’s be that guy.

I believe in us.
