Denmark may be one of the happiest countries in the world, but over the years a growing sense of unease about immigrants within the country has grown. That’s why what happens to Mukhtar — a Somalian immigrant to a European country — is so wonderful to watch. His coworkers and bus riders shower him with acceptance.
But while this is a really lovely act of kindness, I still need to emphasize that tolerance of immigrants in Europe has a long way to go. In the meantime, let’s keep treating each other nicely like these lovely people did to Mukhtar, ya hear?
