I heard Rick Scott banned the term ‘climate change.’ I doubted it until I saw this hilarious video.

Have you ever tried to talk about something without saying the word? It’s pretty hard, right?

Can’t watch it right now? Here you go:

There have been rumors that Rick Scott, Florida’s governor, has issued an unofficial-but-seriously-you-guys-I-mean-it edict to all of his Department of Environmental Protection employees to stop saying “climate change.”

I’m trying to imagine how the logic went that made this seem like a good idea. “All these people want to do something about climate change, and I’m not even convinced it’s real. Wait. I’m the governor of this state. I’M THE BOSS OF THEM! I can make people not say it if I want!”

And if nobody’s saying it, it must not exist, right?

Scarier still, one employee didn’t follow orders and was punished with a suspension from work and told not to return until after a mental health evaluation.

What industries make billions off of stuff that causes climate change? Which of those industries also fund Rick Scott?
