As a result, when a person with diabetes suddenly falls ill to their disease, those around wouldn’t be able to guess what kind of medical attention is needed.

Those struggles are real.

Were an ambulance to arrive, even the medical personnel would have trouble immediately figuring out the issue. The solution these individuals came to is pretty brilliant.

The tattooed symbol indicating their diabetes is permanent and visible.

In that way, it also stands as a message for owning their diabetes.
