Just watch the incredible footage of what these new machines can do, and tell me they’re a bad idea.

How to end ALL texting-and-driving accidents while still being able to text.

Driving a car, when you think about it, is kind of terrifying. You’re in a giant hunk of metal just barreling down the road with other giant hunks of metal going in all different directions, and you can’t get distracted even for a second (by, say, the buzz-buzzzz of your phone) or you might die. Or kill someone. NO PRESSURE, right!? Riiiiiight.

So what if we just *poof* took humans out of the driving equation altogether?

Now I know many of us have already heard a lot of talk about these driverless cars. But I for one had never seen all this amazing footage or heard from one of the lead researchers. Pretty cool, right? Here’s hoping this technology saves the lives it was created to save.
