A Super Bowl ad that will chill you to the bone when you figure out why she’s ordering a pizza

It could be in your home. It could be in your neighbor’s home. That couple you think is so cute and perfect? It could be in their home.

As a domestic abuse survivor myself, I’ve made calls to 911 in the midst of scary times. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video or commercial that captures the urgency in that moment the way this one does. And though this may be totally new and jarring to many of you, some of you may find this scene all too familiar.

Domestic violence affects more homes than most of us could even imagine — even the homes you might think of as safe, loving ones. If you’re struggling with an abusive situation now, please call (800) 799-7233 to reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline. In an emergency, of course, dial 911.
