Context:
I had the pleasure of speaking with Maria de Cambra, the campaign director of the Campaign for a Stronger Colorado. She explained to me that the concept of the video comes from a Colombian campaign called Remángate — or “roll up your sleeve” in Spanish — to bring awareness about the land mines problem. “Súbete la manga” means roll up your sleeve. Given that this video is also targeting all you Latino/a voters out there, I have to say it’s a pretty snazzy catchphrase!
