Libraries have limited resources and staffing to cull through anything but what the major publishers bring to them (let’s face it, it saves them time). But self-publishing and indie authors are starting to yield some significant hits, and helping libraries surface those is a huge service.
I’m a big fan of this Kickstarter, which creates a program to do just that with the flagship Santa Clara County Library system and hopefully every library in the U.S. after that.
