Once I realized that taking on serious issues didn’t mean you couldn’t also make people laugh, I found a place for myself as a writer. When I’m not scanning social media for the next story in the making, I’m usually (hopefully?) away from my computer and phone, making a mess of some overly-ambitious recipe or passing the time browsing Netflix without actually picking out a show.
