Jacalyn Wetzel

I am a Ugandan American poet, essayist, and writer, and the author of the chapbooks The Leaving and Movement No.1: Trains. I’m a contributing editor for The Root, and have published widely in various magazines including The Guardian, The Daily Beast, Lit Hub, Ozy, Salon, Gawker, and more. I’m also an Assistant Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
