A Gorgeous Model Worked The Runway At Fashion Week. You May Notice Something Different About Her.

In an ideal world, the people who model clothes will be relatable to us. In that case, fashion designer Carrie Hammer made her debut at New York Fashion Week by hitting it out of the park. She featured Danielle Sheypuk, who Hammer calls a role model, in her runway show.

Someone asked: “Did you even notice the dress?” And to be honest, it took me a while because I was so thrilled to see someone who doesn’t fit the traditional runway model mold. Hopefully this is the first step. Maybe seeing models with different body types and disabilities will become common enough that the first thing we notice is what they’re wearing. Isn’t that the purpose of a runway show?
