Today, the NRA and Vice President Joe Biden met to discuss the way forward on reasonable gun control measures in the wake of the school shooting at Sandy Hook. In the middle of a CNN broadcast reporting on the subject, they had to cut away from the vice president's press conference to report on an actual school shooting in Taft, Calif. One victim is in critical condition, the other two are stable, and the perp is in custody. Are we allowed to talk about guns yet?
Just FYI, the school has an uniformed deputy sheriff on staff.
UPDATE: The deputy was snowed in and wasn't there. However a quick thinking teacher talked the student down until police arrived without any further violence. Thanks to reader Chanda Welch for the update.
