They Don't Trust The Media. So These Unconventional Reporters Are Telling Their Story.
In 2007, I backpacked through Mexico to learn about the language, history, and culture of one of my favorite countries. I also found one the most fascinating places in the world in Chiapas ā a place where the indigenous people were fighting for autonomy from the government and recognition of their land rights, led by a group known as the Zapatistas. The world of the Zapatistas is notoriously mysterious and guarded, as they have historically distrusted outsiders. Their story is not something you hear about from the mainstream media. But these reporters were able to learn about them, and you can hear it here now.
