While I learned so much in my four years at college, the tuition costs to go to Rhode Island School of Design are staggering. They were for me and my family, at least. I had classmates who seemed like their parents could send them to college a second time if they wanted to. The financial aid I received from RISD in addition to federal grants were much-welcomed silver linings, and I was able to attend, after also taking out loans that will follow me around for a long, long time.
