Barbie? Please. A new doll for kids resembles actual humans. (Bonus: She doesn't walk on her toes.)
A while back, a guy named Nickolay Lamm created a prototype for a Barbie-like doll, but with real human proportions. He used the CDC's measurements for the average 19-year-old American woman. We thought it would be pretty cool if toy makers took notice and started creating dolls for our kids that are more realistic. Well, that hasn't happened, so Nickolay decided to make his own "average" dolls. He's running a crowdfunding project, and you can help support it by donating or ordering a doll.

I asked Nickolay whether his dolls will be diverse. He said that if the crowdfunding is a success, his plan is to extend the line when he can. If you'd like to see his campaign succeed, you can donate to it or purchase a doll. You can also share with the Facebook and Twitter buttons below.
