Do you know what you have to do to filibuster in the Senate? It's not that "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" thing where they have to keep talking until they give up. All they have to do is say they are doing it, calling for something called a cloture motion, a.k.a. "the filibuster where we don't have to actually filibuster." Then no one can do anything. And all it would take to fix it would be to have Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid switch the rules back to requiring senators to actually keep talking to maintain a filibuster, like they did back in the day. When they gave up, the Senate could actually vote on things. Then we could actually get something done.
